That jar looks like an antique jar that my mother used for storing table salt. lol. Could be that it was actually a thread jar who knows.

I have so many old wooden spools of thread but never thought about dumping into an old jar and putting up for sale! Naw...I'll just put jars and decorate my own sewing areas and/or make a few smaller jars for gifts to sewing friends.

well if that is what they are worth, i have at least 500 dollars worth, and on that note,.....
Silver threads and golden needles may be in that jar, cant tell from afar, but for me, im not stupid are insane, but they will find a sucker somewhere, look they came down from 150.00 to 100 , in this economy,,, and yes i got most of mine from estate sales and for little of nothing and thrift stores, for even less, i reuse the spools for winding my embroidery thread on, i do mine by hand and and also using pipe cleaners and the different sizes they make great people, lol,

Yes, that is crazy! First of all - the thread is dry-rotted and will break easily. Even silk dry-rots.
