Default Antique sewing machine auction in Ontario, 12/17/2016

Collectors of vintage sewing machines and sewing paraphernalia may be interested in an auction taking place in Napanee, Ontario on December 17, 2016: http://www.timpotter.com/auctions/121716.html

They will be selling a collection of antique sewing machines, as well as buttons, pincushions, and other sewing paraphernalia. There's a link to a photo gallery, but it doesn't show the complete collection. The description mentions "3 treadle machines" which aren't shown at all, so there's obviously more than shown. Some of the sewing machines are children's toys as well.

Napanee is on Hwy 401, a few hours from Toronto. It's also close to the Thousand Islands border crossing in NY State. I know there are a lot of members in Ontario, but some American members might find this close enough to get to as well. (And don't forget, the Canadian dollar is only worth about 75 cents US, so it might be a chance to get a machine at a good price!)

Thanks to Patrice for giving me permission to post this!

Ladies ... you want to make sure your DH's know about the GOLF portion of the sale!!
That just might make them want to attend with you tmro ... and give you lots of $$$ to $pend on what you want, so they can get what you want!

I was at an auction at the same location this past year and Brad Snider proved to be an incredible auctioneer

Brad Snider is an incredible auctioneer. I was at an auction back in the spring at the same location and Brad sold all, with nary a stop. He was quick but never missed bids. Fair and easy to follow.

Good Luck to all who attend!! .... Let us know here, how the sale goes and of course, what follows you home!!!

    Fledrmaus ... are you going?
    No, I am not.
Just too far away for me at this busy time of the year. ENJOY and Good Luck!

If it were summertime, I'd be there in a shot! But it's just a bit too far for me to go at this time of year, so I'll regretfully have to pass. Bet it'll be a great sale, though! And I hope someone will give us an update on how it goes!

    You're a bit closer than I, but not a lot. I'm in the GGTA-West.
