    I have used this method (works great on Fan blocks) I find it works best on larger applique. Its important to grade your seam or pink because the bulk in the seam on smaller pieces is what you will struggle with. Its a great method to add to the tool box. Sometimes when I do applique I use different methods on the same project. I have aslo used this method with dissolving thread and removed the thread and interfacing after the pieces is turned and ironed, removes bulk but is rather tedious.

    EB has these directions/pics in one of her books---I think it is the one with the vines of flowers going vertically down the quilt......she also shows it in her Dresden Plate book........I have done this technique and it is really a good way to do applique......

    I like this method, have used it a few times - its great! I didn't know about the chain stitching though, that's an idea. Thank you.

    I have tried this method and it is kinda hard to me trying to iron the applique once you have turned it. Thanks for sharing.
