    Default Applique patterns - idea!

I've seen the suggestion of using coloring pages for applique designs.

I just discovered that there are loads of wonderful free patterns for stained glass that would also be terrific to use for applique.

Just Google "free stained glass pattern". You could also include your subject in the search ... "flowers" "eagle" etc.

I hope this is useful information.

This is a very cool idea. Just be very careful on copyrights.

That is a great idea! I like to use coloring pages for applique, but never thought of using some for stain glass patterns. I might need to try some for a wallhanging.

I’ve heard of coloring book pages but have yet to do one. Thanks for sharing.

Most of the coloring books and design books from Dover grant specific permission for use in arts and craft projects, both personal and professional. Some of them say "no more than 4 images per project" but others go up to 10.

I love using stained glass patterns and coloring books for applique patterns. I came across my little brothers coloring books from the 1960's and they had some really nice, simple pictures. I don't see many simple coloring books nowadays. So, thanks for the great hint on where to find them.

My mother always used coloring pages.

My mother used our coloring books for embroider designs, but were great for applique ideas as well.
