Has anyone order Treasured remnant bags from batiksplus.com? I love scraps but wondering just how many yards you would get in a 2 pound bag to make it worth spending $52. I've ordered yardage from them in the past and have been very happy with them. Hoffman batiks are good quality & thin so I would have to imagine you'd get maximum yardage but the average estimate I can find is about 4 yards to a pound.

Search yards of fabric per pound, I don't remember but there is an average, I used to buy scraps by the pound off of ebay.

no I haven't , I just did a search online and found this information for you

1 yard of quilt fabric weighs approximately 4 oz.
1 pound of quilt fabric is about 4 yards.

thanks so much Crafty Bear, that's the best conclusion I could come to but really wasn't too sure of myself. $6.50 a yard for scraps, even being batiks, is a little too rich for me. sigh......

If anyone lives near N.Attleboro Mass...Sue at Quilters Stash sells clearance batiks for $5/yard. I just got 4 yards of beautiful batiks for a backing, and another "few" yards of beauties for the stash....it is a very nice store and nice people well worth the stop if you are in the area.
