I'm so happy for Bonnie. She seem to be really interested in place and history, so this historic and beautiful building seems just perfect for her. I always thought all that traveling must be exhausting, but it sounds as though she will still do her yearly trip abroad.

If it wasn't for modern medicine I would have been blind for the last dozen years due to nodules on my corneas. I was very lucky to have a condition that can be fixed with lasers. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for such a creative person as Bonnie Hunter to be faced with vision loss. It's good to know she's easing back some on her strenuous schedule, though I'm sure she will stay plenty busy with these retreats. People will come in droves! I really enjoyed her presentation at our guild some years ago.

I feel "sew" fortunate that I was able to attend one of her lectures and day meeting a couple of years ago. I am very excited for her and this new endeavor. I'm not sure I will ever get to go to her center, but I can only hope that maybe one day it will happen. I hope she continues with her quilt cams, books, website and offerings for those of us not able to be with her in person.........and I'll be on that waiting list for her new book when she says we can pre-order! Yep, that excites me, I'm always ready for a Bonnie book. I have them all and all have been signed by her. Also wish I could help her with her project or help run her store! Wouldn't that be awesome???? Sadly, upstate NY is a bit of a distance to do those things.

I was fortunate to attend two of Bonnie's workshops back in February. She is full of energy, friendly, knowledgable and exudes "quilt, quilt, quilt". What a wonderful new chapter for her and her family! And yes, Suz, I thought the same thing.
