It wouldn't work for me with my sewing machine - it does not appear it would hold the weight of a heavy machine, and when I sew I do more than just push the fabric thru the machine. But if I was still working, I would definitely buy one for my desk. One place I worked had the adjusting work space, with the touch of a button it lifted the work space up to stand and work and that was wonderful. But for some reason when we moved to a new location they left those in the building.

Interesting idea for the younger crowd. I prefer sewing sitting down otherwise my bones would be aching.

Little pricey for me. DH likes to use the 2662 on the workbench. If he sits at the other table, he feels like he has to sit cross legged, so he moves it to the workbench and sews standing up.

I don't know if I would use it for sewing but I think it is a clever idea . Thank you

I don't have a good cutting height table. I was looking at the Ikea version:

I never got to the store to look at it because I talked my husband into building something. It hasn't happened yet, but maybe next week.

I bought the Ikea one and really like it. I put a slightly larger plywood top on it (it was the top from the old cutting table trimmed down a bit.

What I like about it - I can raise it up for cutting and working, and then lower it down if I want a large table for sewing if I need a large area for supporting something heavy.
