Default Christmas Holly Centerpiece

I happened across this tutorial this past week-end and it really caught my eye. It's sort of like the Fold & Stitch wreaths that are popular these days but less complicated. If you can't figure out how to make your own pattern, she sells it for only $2.

Lots of people like to give a candle for Christmas & I think this would be a great addition to a candle gift. I think you could figure out how to make it smaller by just reducing the pattern.

Cute, I may have to try that but I would want to change it somewhat.

Tartan, just curious as to how you would change it. Thanks.

I think I like this pattern better than the stitch and fold, you can see more of the focus fabric...the pattern is a bargain at $2

I think I would reinforce the holly like idea by giving the front edge a similar shape. I could also quilt in some leaf veins. I would have to use 2 different green fabrics for both sides however to keep it looking holly leaf like.

Tartan, that's a great idea. We need to see a completed mat.

Thx for sharing...I also find this more attractive than the folded wreath...simpler and more modern.
