I bought a corn bag neck warmer at a craft fair last weekend...love it...I have been using it on my feet...soooo...I was thinking I need to make a larger one to cover all of my toes and feet. I found this really cool tute using fat qtrs. Rice feet warmer. I can't wait to make mine...sounds like a inbetween project for this weekend. http://www.vanessachristenson.com/20...et-warmer.html

Oh...and if you are looking for a great idea to sell at a craft fair...they were selling alot of the neck warmers. 8.00 a piece or they had a special on one kind of brown flannel for 6.00 - all were made with flannel material. I must say it was worth it! I use it well watching TV at night and then put it in the microwave for 2 mins before I go to bed and place it at the bottom my my bed under the sheets for my feet. It stays warm for a long time. And besides me...many people were buying them. They were also selling small square corn bags as hand warmers for 5.00

Thanks for the tute, carolaug. :) I never feel cold until my feet (or my knees) are freezing. I only wear shorts and tees in the winter because of hot flashes. I go barefoot in the house, too. If I make a couple of these I will have one for my toes and one for my knees. Do you put the rice bag in the microwave to heat it up before you put it in the cover? Winter won't seem so long now. Even here in Florida, it gets cold sometimes. :)
