When I get good enough I will stitch this poem I wrote for my granddaughter and my best dog

Now I lay me down to nap
I'd rather be in Quinlyn's lap
And if I wake and there's my plate
I hope it's filled with something great
Like table scraps and something smelly
For desert I'll chew your wellies
So thank you lord for all things splendid
I know that it is as you intended

Thanks for the cute poem by you, and the link. This reminds me of Sister Mary Corita's art from the late 60s (the way I remember it). She did beautiful art with poems, message, or scripture on them. I'm gonna have to get on the internet and research her too- I loved her stuff. It would be cool to do some quilts along this vein.

That is really a nice poem, looking forward to seeing it on a quilt.
