    I used the rectangle, square and round pot holders. They all worked fine. I check loop size more then shape. . My DD picked out solid color potholders with a print towel for her gifts to give to co workers this year. She bought the better quality towels and cheaper potholders. She wanted the potholder sewn closed so the less quality potholder was fine for this.

    I'm going to check out the dollar store tomorrow, I know I did these last year and thats where I got the towels with the matching pot holders. Thank you for reminding me.

    I've made so many of these I have streamlined the sewing. I pleat the towel by sight to fit the width of the potholder. I like the pleats better then the gather. Sew across the middle back, double stitch at each end. Sew on a button and I'm done.
