Apparently these were sold together. I bought only the Janome 1600 P secondhand this last summer. I read the reviews online and was not sure I should buy it. The lady I bought it from said that the Grace Machine Quilter Pro was horrible with the Janome and she sold it to a friend. All the reviews said it was not a good match. Bought the machine and tried and tried to sew on it. Knew the thread thing was broken so I have it in the shop. He ordered the parts and we have waited over 4 weeks now for a small part. He will clean it and then show me how to thread it (not easy) and hopefully it will work for me. The lady I bought it from sewed on it in front of me, but not for an extended length of time. I will hope for the best.

Be careful! I got a package with a Janome 1600P and I have a lot of trouble with it. The machine is too heavy for the frame rails (made of plastic). If this is the Janome I got, it takes a special needle and I have had so much trouble with it (thread breaking and it running off the track) I have hardly used it. I may some day replace the machine. The needle has no flat place so you know how to insert it and it is just trial and error. It has no place for home sewing, in my opinion.
