They are Anatolian Shepherd Dogs--used for guarding livestock and poultry. Of course, they will also guard your children and family! They are wonderful dogs, with incredible instincts and intelligence.

So sorry for getting everyone off the topic - my eye caught those pups - I have Great Pyrenees - so naturally I have an eye for dogs - but the site you directed us to for the Lady of the Lake pattern tutorial - is great! so sorry for your topic to get interrupted.
