    A friend of mine has mentioned using one but I never have and was just looking at it Sunday at JoAnn's but didn't buy one as I had no clue how they would work. Thank you for the visual tutorial. Next time I go, if they have one, think I'll pick one up as I do use a lot of pins to baste my quilt.

    I've heard that a grapefruit spoon works well for pinning. They have some little serrations on the end to cut the grapefruit sections away from the skin. You would lift the end of the pin up with this area of the spoon. The serrations would serve the same purpose as the grooves on the Kwik Klip.

    I, too, just use straight pins, and the 'kwik klip'...works just as well as with curved pins.
