Big Lots have standard lamps and desk lamps a whole lot cheaper that the Ott lights. I have one floor model Ott light that I love and then I have a floor lamp from Big Lots that is just as good ..... cost $29.95

I also got one of those "Ott Look-alikes" at Wal-mart one time for $29.95. I am a "frequent flier" of the Dollar store near us - with a little imagination, you can come out with some great stuff for hobbies.

Thanks for the tip. I'll watch for them at our stores.

Hi, thanks for the good suggestions. Always good to get a recommendation from a "hands on" user. I will hunt these up when I visit my dolllar store again.
