I use double wide binding all the time, but this technique really clarifies the whole process. Thank you so very much. There are time when my brain goes totally off into space and I can't remember how to make neat mitered corners. The last few projects have been where you just sew the layers together and then turn it inside out and top stitch the edge. While this is a fast and easy way to do it I still love the neat bound edge you get with binding. Thanks again.

I use this method also, and after much practice, I now can do it quite easily.

I copied this method of ending my binding several years ago and refer to it every time I bind.....for whatever reason, I can sure twist the ends if I don't pay close attention.....Pirate has given me so many great ideas and tutorials.....she is truly helpful.....

Do a search for moda bake shop basic binding. This brings up a great tutorial on joining double fold binding and it explains the whole process in a very easy to understand way. I use this all the time.

Hi, no 6 step is really the same as when you join the strips to make the binding -- just twist it around a little if you see what I mean. That was the step that puzzled me at first, but it is so simple when you remember you have already done it. Love Letty
