Robert Kaufman has an app for your phone for quilt calculations. For example if you have a 6 inch block and you want to put them on point. The app will tell you how to cut the side triangles. A local quilt shop in my town also uses it. Just go to App Store on your phone and download

I think it is called Robert Kaufman Quiling Calculator in the play store app. I use it all the time to figure out how many strips to cut for binding. Great little app.
