I also stopped shopping there. I was disappointed that they will no longer let you buy a half yard at a good price. I have heard rumors that Amazon purchased them. You can sometimes go to Amazon and search the fabrics there

If you can find the fabrics you're looking for directly on Amazon (which is Fabric.com's parent company) but offered through Fabric.com, they ship most of them for free with no minimum. I'm not sure if this only works if you have Amazon Prime, but their fabrics say they aren't Prime eligible.

Same here-I thought that change just amounted to greed on their part and I was terribly disappointed in the change and now the increased shipping charge as well.
