I found Space Saver Bags on sale and bought a few of those. They work GREAT! I don't have much closet space here, so I have used them for not only fabric that I wanted to set aside for "special" projects, but I have put my sweaters, dresses, jackets and other clothing in it. I then put it all at the top of the closet, stacking them on top of each other and you wouldn't believe the room I have recovered.
I wouldn't use the trash back thing, only because most of them have a "smell" to them. Don't want my things smelling like plastic. Plus, you can't make it look nice and neat. It's a good idea for those on a budget, but for me, it just wouldn't work.

One thing I do when people want to buy me a gift....I tell them what I really want. It could be bins, Space Saver Bags, just off the wall things that WE as sewers want/need. I would get the...you really don't want that, do you? YES I DO!! You asked, I'm telling. It has taken a few years for people to realize I am serious when I tell them this, they have FINALLY heeded my wishes. One example....I saw this pink kitty piggy bank. It's something you would buy for a child. The place would put the name on it. It was cute! I wanted it! I had been telling hubby and my girls I wanted this for 2 years!! Did I get it? Nope. I wasn't going to buy it myself either. Well...this past Christmas, I was asked what I wanted. I told them AGAIN! I want that pink kitty piggy bank. Was adimant about it. Told them if they bought me anything else, I would bring it back. Well, bring it back within reason. Well...after 2 years and telling them, they FINALLY bought it for me! UGH! Like milking a bull sometimes!

    Oh my goodness,

Can you imagine the wrinkles you would have to iron out of that fabric?
