I've been collecting a few cowboy type novelty prints I think might work on this quilt. Kind of fun! I've got farm animals, lasso's, horses, bandannas and fun stuff like that. I think I'll do mine all scrappy.

I am thinking of either using 30's fabric, batiks, or Civil War or maybe just scrapy. I can't make up my mind. I'd like to see some pictures of different quilts in the Farmer's Wife quilts. Are there any here?

Here is a link to the first 50 blocks that we did in the FWS quilt.

And here is the link to the page of completed blocks - however this is a new post this week.

The book is available NOW! yea! if you are going to the Quilt Expo in Madison, WI next week (Sept 8-10) you can have Laurie autograph your copy. She will be in the Quintessential Quilts booth and giving a talk.

Received my book in the mail yesterday, and it is lovely. I think we are still planning to do a quilt-along on the Board after January 1st... can't wait.

I, too, have received my book and CD. I've also joined in the Yahoo Group that is making this quilt. I can't wait. Am going to use various scraps, adding in a few "cowboy" types. I really want to work from my stash. In reading some of the children's stories, I knew I'd have to have a few ponies in the mix. Other than getting a few of those, I'll use what I have......
