    the method is great, but there's something about it i can't understand. maybe someone can explain. she started out with 5" charms. i checked by counting the inches on her cutting mat. then toward the end she said she ends up with approximately 5-1/4" squares. so, after you deduct the seam allowances, how can you end up with a bigger square than you start out with?
