Maybe you can start with this and, instead of attaching them to a styrofoam ball, make them flat like the potholders.

I just love these potholders! I too could not get into the link so would you mind PM or e-mailing the directions? I would really appreciate it. Maybe I could actually get started on something ahead of when I need it instead of waiting until the last minute. Not likely but I can wish. Thanks so much.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. It is coming out of the printer as I write. Have a great 2010. Someday I hope to get to your beautiful state. It is the only one I haven't seen. Someday. Take care.

I just take two or three little stab stitches, by hand, through the folded point and down into the backing fabric. You just need enough to hold the points in place and stop them flopping around. I use thread to match the folded fabric.

Does anyone have a pattern for a pillow using the folded star?

Two more things to add to my to do list. The way I figure it I'll have to live to 173 to finish my list. That is if I don't add anything else to the list, small chance of that happening, I'll probably add something else before the night is over. lol

Can't get into any of the sites posted and I have a book called Quilting With folded Stars. It has patterns for just about evvery thing including so epillows and appliance covers and such in the book , even a jancket and child's vest. I've made a gob of these pot holders a number of years ago and sold some of them. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay
