I originally found this civil war dresden block at http://northerndeb.blogspot.com/2009...0s-quilt.html# and wondered about the process to create it. Logically I knew the process but wanted the details. Well today I happened to find a tutorial on the web here: http://laren.blogspot.com.au/2012/04...den-plate.html

Thank you for the link. And I learned something today. Nope not about the block about me. I have done dresden blocks many times and am a little bored with traditional designs. I basically thought. "Oh another dresden block whatever" and was going to pass it by. Something told me to go ahead and look anyway. I did and I am really glad I did. While Civil War fabrics are not something I like.. I can see using this technique in other ways. So note to self don't be so sure you have seen everything to do with traditional blocks. lol
