Free motion quilting tutorial

Thanks for the tips Geta, they are really useful! I too have a Pfaff machine and would be interested to know what settings you have your machine on for free motion? I have a fairly neat stitch but it doesnt quite look as good as yours!

I have a Pfaff Select. It is a non-computerized sewing machine and for free motion I adjust only the tension of the threads.
For top thread - between 0 and 1(depending of thread)
The bobbin thread is quite tighten.
But I think there are not two machines that work exactly in the same way and I don't know if this setting will be good for your machine.
But you can try it out !
Do you like your machine ? I love mine ! I would not exchange it with any other sophisticated machine !
Best regards,
Geta

Geta, I learned some great tips in your free motion tutorial.
Please continue to share here. My computer skills are limited. I don't have a blog so can't add you to it per your instructions.

I have a Janome 6600. I am not 100% satisfied with it, but it is one of those things where you don't know what to ask cause you have never had a machine anything like it. I have had only machines before that were much older then me and all mechanical. Thank you for your tips. I am sure I will do you proud. I bought the supplies to do your shadow trapunto today. Do you sew with the batting on the bottom? does the feed dogs chew it up?
