That is outstandingly beautiful! Not going to try it now, but maybe someday when life slows down a little (!)

Can one of you provide a link so I can see the quilt? I am planning one in the near future. Thank you.

Years ago my friend who lived across the street made one of those for each of her children. They were so beautiful I just loved them. One day she came over and handed me a gift she had bought for me and it was the pattern and instruction book for the quilt and pillow cover. I feel so bad that I have yet to make one but after seeing this one I am going to find it and get busy.

One of the first quilts I did on my LA was this pattern. My mom had made it over 30 years ago, for my sister's wedding. My mom wasn't a real experienced quilter, and this one had some serious issues. It was about 5" larger across the middle than on the sides, and that was not considering the borders.

I did a lot of motif quilting, so I could ease in the puffiness and it turned out fine.
