I ordered the Gizmo tool that someone else suggested in this board for half square triangles. It is great! I spent an hour playing with all my scraps. http://www.sallyschneider.com/gizmo.htm

Never mind the Gizmo, check out the 'Magic Triangle' ruler! I love these triangles, but can never get them to look nice! I just may try this one out....

I have a tool similar to this from Fons & Porter-I use it all the time for triangles from strips or squares. My only complaint is the F&P has their names written on it and the center line is hard to see. I love mine-let us know how you like the Gizmo.

Carol, mine is 1/2" wide with a line down the middle that you line up diagonally across the block. When you draw and sew on the lines and cut down the middle, you have 1/4" seams on the triangles. Clear as mud??

thanks Jan. I have some template plastic, thought maybe I could make my own. Just spent boo-coo dollars at Hancocks getting items for cutting out fabric for quilts. Now I can't afford to buy the fabric for awhile!LOL
