    One thing I've learned about panels - see if they are PRINTED more or less on grain.

    One can "straighten the grain" - up to a point - with pulling the fabric diagonally - but one cannot "straighten the print" if it is printed off-grain.

    True bearisgrey. But even if it is not printed straight it helps to straighten grain. The needle sews through the fabric better when grain is straight.
