It didn't appear that she was using a walking foot. I am surprised she didn't have pucker stitches. I have tried this method before on smaller lap throws and always wound up with puckers so I switched to a walking foot and sewed much slower that she did.

She fails to mention that she has an automatic walking foot on her machine (IDT). I would NEVER attempt this without a walking foot!

down in the comments below the video she said she forgot to mention that she was using a walking foot. the little black thing behind the presser foot was her walking foot. I will maybe try this one day.

Thanks a bunch! I have four king sized quilts waiting to be quilted. Interesting that she doesn't use a walking foot.

Krystyna, see the comments just above yours...she is using the special walking foot for her machine. I think a walking foot would be necessary with a large quilt.

On the Pfaff, the walking foot is built in and is called IDT. It's so much better than attaching a bulky walking foot. I have two Singers that I have to use that type of walking foot on, consequently I don't use them very often for SID although they are great for regular piecing.
