Hoffman has posted pictures of their 2012 Challenge fabrics.

The large picture is the challenge fabric, and they've shown the coordinates below.
What do you think of the colors they chose this year?
Of the whole collection - coordinates and all - if it was up to you, which fabric would YOU have chosen to be the challenge fabric?

So you really just a "recognizable" piece of the challenge fabric. The rest is totally the maker's choice.
It's not particularly my taste either, but it's a different style from some of the earlier challenge fabrics.
I remember a lot of the Asian choices in years past.

Wow, 2000 was the first time I saw the show (just about when I started quilting).

Ok my next question will show how new I am to this type of contest. The following is the number one rule in the challenge"
None of the famous Hoffman batiks can be chosen for the primary challenge fabric, as these fabrics are handmade by individual artists, and no two yards are exactly the same. Since these fabrics are manufactured in other countries, weather and shipping issues can make availability somewhat unpredictable, so even though we love 'em, at this point we can't use them as our primary challenge fabric. We do, however, encourage you to use them in your entry!
Question": On the first line it says not to use the fabric. So how do you win the challenge? Help !!!
