    Tips & Warnings
You may want to use pieces from a blanket that has been damaged rather than buying quilt batting or fiberfill.

Use the left over material to create a small cloth drawstring bag to keep the set in .

Fold the quilt over and then fold it again so you have a fairly small square.

The checkers should be attached inside so they aren't loose.

Don't forget to quilt the top of your quilt so the filling doesn't bunch up.

This is something I plan on making. The other day I bought a set of large checker pieces at a thrift shop for .75 cents.

I plan to make a large picnic game quilt that has checkers ansd several other games to play while picnicing or just lounging around at the lake or in the yard. The grands will love it.
