    I've been using this method and usually use just the black ink. Well, I tried one with color and then when the quilt was washed all the color washed away leaving me with the black. No idea why. I had heat set the ink with the iron so that wasn't it. Just do a trial one if you're using colored ink to make sure it's permanent. Also, I print out a copy on paper first so I know exactly where the printing is going to be and can put my fabric there. Makes beautiful labels!! bev.
