I am really sorry for being so dense, BUT, she uses 6.5" sq. to make 5.5" triangles. Therefore if I want to make 6.5" triangles do I use a 7.5" square. It seems like I should but at this time of the evening I am not even sure what my name is. Thanks so much.

after a YEAR of struggling to get my triangles the finished size I needed I found a tute that advised you/me to cut the starting squares about an inch bigger and by george it worked. so- 8.5 in starter yields a 7.5 4.5 yields a 3.5 finished. great how easy it is when the light bulb came on. lol
