I have first search for all the free classes that Craftsy has available put them in my card. I found out about Jacquie Gering from my quilt guild using the walking foot, the class I got free was with Edyta Sitar which was $39.99. Start looking at sections Sewing/Quilting and I am sure something will catch your eye. I love Craftsy another secret if you place things you like in the wish list, craftsy will send you a coupon for $19.99.

I got to the page where it offered the class I want for free but when I checked in my cart, I was charged $36. for the class. It would not let me proceed without entering credit card information.

I didn't get an email, but I entered JoAnns and Craftsy in the search engine and tons of free classes showed up to choose from. I am already enrolled in Craftsy, so that might have made it easier. I just put the class I wanted in my cart, and "enrolled". No charges.

I am so glad I saw this thread. I did get the email but I thought the free class only came with new membership. I was wrong.
If you have the email, click the free class button, sign in to your Craftsy account, and then the classes should be listed as " free". It worked for me!
