    Exclamation Joannes now sells $14.99/yd

Joannes has some nice fabrics like Legacy and Cloud 9. Yesterday I saw the Cloud 9 for $14.99/yd. YIKES…..need the 50% off coupon for that one!

Marshall's is a distributor to quilt shops and fabric shops. You can buy a bolt of fabric at wholesale or buy yardage. The yardage is priced higer then the bolt per yard price because they have to pay employees to cut it. The place is wonderful to visit. Everyone is super nice. My 2 friends and I buy bolts of 15 yard fabric and then exchange in 5 yard pieces. Usually 2.98 a yard sometimes $1.98 if the fabric is one the rep wants to move out. All name brand fabrics but Moda are there. Even Connecting Threads fabric is there. I love the bargain bins. And there is a big table with all the new fabric samples that is being printed by all the major manufacturers for the reps to show their customers. The place is huge and that is only one of warehouses they have. I asked about Moda and
was told Marshall's was looking in to it.

Going to have to be one very special situation for me to pay $14.99 a yard for fabric.

The $14.99 fabric I saw at Joann's did not have the same 'hand' as that I find at the quilt stores for $14.99. Just my opinion. It would be okay with a coupon. I've heard so much about Marshall's that it may be a 'go to' for a try out. If I ever reduce my stash! LOL

Yes, I agree. Joannes is getting costly to shop at around my area. I have found some fabrics as high as $24.00 a yard & many at $19.00 a yard. Good thing I have a big enough stash to last me two life times. LOL

Sorry quilting friends but Joann's holds absolutely no interest for me. I have visited their new store twice and really could not find one piece of fabric to take home. The quality is just not there. When you hold a piece in front of light, you could count the threads with the naked eye. I seriously doubt the low thread count would hold together if a seam were stressed. Sorry, I'm not happy with their fabrics.

I find that you really have to watch for quality at JA's....some is not good at all.
