Default Joann's has a new line of Made in USA fabrics!

Just got an e-mail from Joann, and they're introducing a line of premium quilt fabrics made in the USA. Not a huge selection, but the prices are fair and the prints are appealing. I'm always happy to find something manufactured here!

I got the same email, and have a question to JoAnn's early this morning, if you click on the more information about the fabric, it all says, NO IRON. How can that be?

    I found this:

    HUDSON, Ohio--(
BUSINESS WIRE)--Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, the leading fabric and craft specialty retailer in America, is partnering with FabricTraditions, one of America's leading producers of printed fabrics for the home sewing industry, to bring the Creating New Traditions collection of fabrics made entirely in the United States to all Jo-Ann stores nationwide and Joann.com. FabricTraditions will donate a portion of sales to The National Military Family Foundation. http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20140213005878/en/Jo-Ann-Launch-Made-In-America-Collection-FabricTraditions#.Uv0RLPldVH4

I too am questioning the 'do not iron' instruction. What happens if you do? And if you can't, how useful is the fabric for quilting? Hmm...

Thanks for letting us know about the new "Made in America" fabric. It is nearly impossible to find textiles made in America any more. I think the prices are fair too! The fabrics are cute. I can't wait to get my tax check back so I can go fabric shopping. These fabrics will definitely be on my list. 60 degrees here today. Yippee! East coast and South....these temps are on your way. Stay safe and warm 'til then.

I hope the first person here who buys it and irons it reports back. That's an interesting statement. Maybe it's not all cotton.
