They are crazy, that is way to much money for the average quilter to buy! plus we have our own very inventive quilters right here!
    thanks for the reminder!

    this concept is not new..
go to superior threads website and they explain it too

the way the thread is wound, makes a big difference with the way it it comes off, and how it sews up on your machine.
(nice looking stitches and breakage, although i think breakage has more to do with the wrong needle, eye and tension)

Does anyone here use thier rotary cutter? i saw it demonstrated at a sewing expo, and i was impressed. but a friend has one, and i tried it and could not get used to my hand being off to the side, instead of on top of the cutter..

cutter--I love the cutter and can cut all day without my wrist being sore. It does take a learning curve, I think the secret is the way you hold the cutter. Pointer finger is along the top and as you cut, that finger should be centered on the ruler. As I say it does take a learning curve, but once you have it, no more wrist strain.

Don't most sewing machines come with a straight up spool holder or a side one. I know mine do. Just a little pricey.

I have been using the metallic thread this week. I use a metallic needle, loose the top tension to -2 and the thread comes off the spool horizontal. Coats and clark and also medira thread. Ver very little breakage. I also use a 350 stitch a min. If you use a faster stitch a min. it will break quicker. So slow down on the stitching speed and use your money for fabric.
