Michaels sale

I used my 50% off coupon to buy a small mat and some rulers (combo pack), as we plan on going camping in 3 weeks and I want to take my old machine with me. We go every year with 3 families, and they all fish. That's not my thing, so thought I might get away with taking my sewing machine. I can have our trailer all open and enjoy the outdoors- but be doing something I want to do. The new mat is just the perfect size.

I buy batting with my 50% off coupon/s. The Hobbs 80/20 queen size batting is regularly 14.99. I cut it up into 12" squares for QAYG, which is enough for 3 throw size quilts.
Each quilt is 4 x 5 - 12" squares.
I can't seem to get any lower than 2.50 per quilt for batting, but I won't stop trying!! Michaels also has a new poly batting that is very low loft and soft so I'm going to get one of those this week to try it out. I'd prefer to use Warm and Natural 100% cotton batting, but I need to keep the cost as low as I can go and still make a decent quilt.
