I received a package today and got a surprise with my order. I had ordered three patterns from Pieces From My Heart and the "extra" was a cute little Moda Bake Shop item that I had not yet seen. It is a packet of (40) 2 1/2" squares of Moda's Lovely line by Sandy Gervais. Didn't know Moda made those but I assume they are a new item in their Moda Bake Shop. Will now have to find out what they are called.

I have received a different pack of 2 1/2" squares from another online shop as a complimentary gift. Nice little surprise and smart way to say "thank you".

I don't see them at Moda's Bakeshop, but maybe they were charm packs cut up especially as bonus gifts from this shop?
I wouldn't be surprised to see these offered in the future though :D:D:D

No, not charm packs cut down. They were definitely packaged by Moda because the little wrapper around them is labeled just like the other Bake Shop items. I didn't see them on Moda's web site either but did see something else new there. It is called a scrap pack and is 10 oz. of scraps from a fabric line. Guess we quilters will buy just about anything.

However, the little 2 1/2" squares are just too darling to actually use. I'll have to keep them around for awhile until the newness wears off and then decide what to do with them. It was a nice gesture from the shop to include them in the order.

I think they are called Petite Fours and sold by the box, hope that helps, the shop probably split up the box as a present to their customers or maybe Moda was doing a promotion? Either way, I'm glad you got such a cute little surprise!

The 2.5 inch squares were also sold in Sampler Boxes about a year ago with 12 different Moda collections all in the same box.
