    Default MSQC-Hamilton,Mo

Quilters talk about whether they should visit Missouri Star Quilt Company. I don't know if people know what it means to visit MSQC in Hamilton, MO! It is a Disneyland for quilters! There are a dozen stores for quilters all within the one block downtown area. All the old abandoned downtown buildings were converted to specialty fabric stores. There are batiks, reproductions, novelties and on and on. I went to Hamilton thinking that I'd me stopping to see a nicely stocked store. I was overwhelmed at all the choices and stores. I went to Paducah about 8 years ago. It was nice, but the stores there were spread out. Hamilton, MO is loaded with shops all in one place!!!

I think I read somewhere that members of Jenny's family have opened some of those specialty stores.....great way to breath life into a small town

You'll love it and there is a lovely little quilt shop called Crossroads Quilting in Cameron, Missouri...just a little west of Hamilton.

I watched a video on line all about their shops, and they took me on a tour. Amazing. A lot of stores, and I think they said they were building a "man cave" for those who want their wife to run wild!

They were working on that "man cave" when we were there last September. I bet it's open by now. It was a whole building in the middle of all the quilt shops and they were moving in big reclining leather chairs! Has anyone been there recently??

It's on my bucket list... thanks for posting. I would have had no idea that there is more than one quilting shop in Hamilton. A few years ago I visited Intercourse, PA with some friends and got to peek inside some wonderful shops.
