Many of you probably already know this, but I just saw Nancy of Nancy's Notions on a video announcing that she has lost part of one leg to cancer. So very sad! Here is a link (scroll down for video). \http://www.nancyzieman.com/blog/sewi...-nancy-zieman/

Oh my gosh! I did not know that. Nancy is one of my sewing mentors. I watched her for years on PBS. I wish her a speedy recovery.

Sad, yes, but oh, how I do admire this powerful, talented, and giving woman. Thank you for this heads-up.

Nancy Zieman's annoucement of bone cancer
Nancy sent out a note to those who subscribe to her blog this morning that she was diagnosed with bone cancer and she was cancelling her appearances and have quest host for her show, until the middle of next year.
The doctors removed the tumor on her left leg and she says she has a partially bionic leg. So sad. I pray that she will recover and continue her wonderful life.
She has brought so much joy and knowledge to all of us over the years and has been such an inspiration to all.
She is the reason that I sew and quilt. From her first show, I have never missed a program....and I feel like I own half of her Nancy's Notions business.
I thought everyone would like to hear the sad news and wish her well.
