Oh, so you print it right on the adhesive paper. Saves tracing. Hmmmm

I'm thinking of doing mine in all blues. I love blue and I have quite a stash of blue fabrics. Might add some greens for contrast.

After playing around some more I just went ahead and ordered the RinsAway from Amazon...I think in the end I'll be happier. So I'm not going to be able to start until sometime after next week - have to wait for it to get here. I also need to get more black fabric, but that's not a problem. I hate having to be patient to get started! I'll gets pics of my fabric up in the next day or 2.

    Has anybody actually started yet?

Ok I will be the first one to post a picture. I enjoyed this alot.
I do embroidery for a living, but with industrial machines not by hand. This new for me in quilting... I like the way it turned out. But would like to know if anyone has any suggestions for improvement. I had rather do needle turn applique.

Oh yes, I think it looks great too! Very nice job. Really like your fabric selections.

I haven't started mine yet, still waiting for the RinsAway to get here - they haven't even shipped it yet according to the tracker, but they say it'll be here by the 19th. Hope so!

Beautiful! I can't wait to get started!

I do machine embroidery too and I have done applique both on my embroidery machine and on my sewing machine.

Americassewplace - did you use a stabilizer on the back when you did your zigzag stitching? The block looks fantastically smooth. I know in the past when I've done machine applique with a satin stitch I had a bit of puckering (didn't know to use a stabilizer, wasn't too bad anyhow). Again, nice job!
