New Craftsy Program
#2
I just got that email this morning. I think it's a good deal but I don't think it's for me.
I've bought abour 6 classes in the past and have been very happy with them, however, there are
many that I have no interest in.
I really think it's worth the money for the right person. I just don't know if I'm one of them.

I've been a Craftsy member for a few years. I think if you haven't already settled on one or two hobbies the subscription is a good way to try out many different classes. I have more than 6 Craftsy classes because I am not nearly as disciplined as SusieQOH !!! Only 6? You totally rock! Personally I sew garments and quilt so a subscription to everything they have doesn't work for me either right now. Maybe I'll look at subscribing later if they add a lot of new content, but we'll see...

I love Craftsy classes but don't need access to every one they offer. I always wait for special promos so have never paid over $20 for a class that I can access forever without ever paying a penny more. $15 a month comes to $180 a year with no permanent benefit unless you keep paying the $15 every month.
It may be a good way to check out the classes they offer for a month or two, but long-range it's a loser for anyone but Craftsy.

I have seen the information but it just doesn't fit me. I have quite a number of classes that I have purchased over the years. I have rarely gone back to view them multiple times. I also like to choose ones geared to a new technique I want to do. I don't think I have the time to watch enough to justify $14.99/month-I'd rather sew. Also, there are other sources of classes-like You-tube and AQS.

I am considering the one year membership...it works out to be $10 month rather than $14.99. I am into photography as well as quilting and have purchased two cooking Craftsy classes in the past. Since I am newly (semi) retired with many interests and now a lot more free time on my hands, it might be worth a try...

I've been a Craftsy member for a long time and have about 35 quilting and art classes and love them. Like a lot of others here though, I have no use for other types of classes so think the monthly price is too expensive. Maybe in the future if they add more of what interests me I'll rethink my decision.

Hi there, I think it is good deal I have it now and love it. Right now I am looking at the jewelry classes, someone gave me their entire start up set of jewelry supplies as they never used it or got started them selves. I have even gotten hooked on hand embroidery, so yes I think it is good deal it has help me to get involved in other arts that I may have not if I had to leave my home.

I have most of the quilting classes and am not interested in expanding that hobby. I don't do sewing as I did in the past and don't cook much so to me it is worth buying another quilting class if one is offered and not getting into a monthly payment program.
