Upon buying an old Singer Sewing Machine today, I found a website to get a little info on it here: http://www.sandman-collectibles.com/singer-manuals.htm

You can get manuals for your old machine at this site. I found out I got a Model 128-13. It has the shuttle and bobbin winder like my old treadle had. It does run but does skip bobbin thread once in awhile. It has it's own cabinet also.

You can download most of the Singer manuals from their website...the only one I haven't found is a manual for the Singer 9W...

I wanna see pictures of your new baby!! :)

I'm getting it cleaned up and will take pictures soon. This one makes 5 now. Each one a different model. They had a Sears Kenmore at the sale that went for 2.50 in a cabinet also. I didn't see a cord though.

Cords are an easy replacement...they're just annoying cuz you can't just jump right in and test the machine until you get it!

Thanks Norene! One of the other members has a manual for the W&W 9 that should be the same as my Singer that she offered to scan for me... I'm pretty jazzed to be getting it...even tho the machine isn't complicated at all...threading is just a bit different is all... :)

NICE machine!! Is that your new baby??

Skipping a stitch? My guess - check threading - especially into needle...sometimes it's left to right other times right to left.
