    I really enjoyed the one that said the farm wife "quilted as she rested". After listing all of the other things she did. I don't think any of them got much rest! lol

    They were far better organized I think. Every day they knew what they had to do and they got up and did it! There was always hard work but it was a simpler life. I was fortunate to have been born in the 30's and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Great pictures and what a delight that you chose to share them. Thank you so much for the trip back to my memories.

    I remember quilting like that! My very first quilt was made with Grandma helping me to tie it on a frame in her kitchen. I was pregnant with my oldest (now 37). Thank you for bringing back that memory. The pictures are a beautiful part of our country's history and heritage.
