    I wonder if this can be modified to be used on those jars that we have to throw away that are not a Mason jar? Like those pickle jars and olive jars. I may just have to tweek it to see if will work. I happen to have an empty one of those jars I think in the cabinet. I will let ya know. Funny, I was canning jams last night and thought of this same idea. What a strange coinsidence.
