I love this video...but if any of you have a serger you turn the pillowcase inside out and serge the one side and bottom which gives you a better stitch and saves so much time......thx Trish

Thank you. This was really good for me. I struggle every time with matching seams. I also struggle with my 1/4" foot (same as hers). Apparently, I can not see as well and I feel as though my fabric is moving slightly. Not good! I love the disappearing 9 patch and I am going to practice, practice, practice. thanks again. Very helpful and I enjoy her way of speaking and filming.

This is the first time I have seen a tutorial where she tells us to press our seams open. Is this the norm now? I can believe that it would make it easier to quilt but I thought "the rule" was to press to the dark always!! no matter what. Is this new to you folks too? or just me? She (Sharon Ledbetter) did make a beautiful block but was very particular about how she made it. Great instructions but I don't know that I would take that much care.

I think I had seen the press the seam open only once before and I think it was for a particular block or procedure but I can't remember now what. I do think there was a comment about "normally press to one side but for this one press open" so it does seem to be a different take.

Wonderful video. I'm going to try this right now. Thanks for posting.

I can see with the open seams-four corners coming together. I love the info on not using the iron to open them, stretching and all, steam helping the material "go back to natural". Lots of good information, thanks for posting.
