when using the traditional methods, you get straight grain outside edges. when you cut your HST with this method you get all your outside edges on the bias. be careful.

Another amazing technique! I have a jelly roll sitting here watching me, now it better watch out because this is something I intend to try. Thanks for sharing. Looks so easy.
