If I measured correctly, (and I think I did) this ruler template is just a hair over 13 degrees. I believe that the spiral calls for either a 9, 10 or is it 11 degree wedge, so be careful using it for that purpose.

Thanks Kathome - I had quickly checked the printout with my 10 deg. wedge ruler and noticed they were not the same - just hadn't gotten around to doing the math to figure out the exact degrees! Obviously with a full circle being 360 degrees, this printed template could only be used for a partial circle so it will work just fine for the pattern it comes with.

when you pull up the pdf file, go to the top of the page. click on view, click on zoom, click on zoom to, then put in 90 and it will change the size and then where the little box sayes, 2x2" it should match. hope that helps

Thanks SO much! Cheapest one I found online was 17.00 inc. shipping and it was only 14 inches long. BUT ... my hubby has a large enough piece of plexiglass in the garage for it and he is going to cut it for me!! Woo! Hoo! Can you tell I am excited? Have been wanting to do spiral Christmas tree skirts.

The link I had provided is no longer working.
If you go to www.hancockfabrics.com and click on their free projects tab on the left hand side and then click on by crafts then quilting it will come up. I do not have a direct link to the pattern itself. |
