    Probably better and more accurate than my method - eyeballing it!! Thanks for the serious information.

    My method is to place two squares right side together, than sew a 1//4 inch seam around the edges of the square.. Then carefully make two diagonal slices through the center of the square. Four half square triangles are your reward.
