Default Quilt Shelving - Sale Through Jan 2, 2012

Got my weekly flyer for Menards. They are having a shelving sale. If you check out their website, on the home page, upper right is a link for the weekly flyer. I posted about these shelves a year ago when someone asked. I bought a 4 shelf, steel shelf with the wood. I split it in half - bottom 2 make the perfect height for a massive pressing station. Just add a padded June Tailor ironing surface. The second half makes a perfect full size cutting table. You will have the 2 work surfaces plus a shelf underneath. Thought maybe I should play "quilt elf" and pass this on, as there was some interest before. I do not recall all these shelves being on sale at one time. You should be able to find what you need. BTW, these are super sturdy. You could dance on them if you wanted to.

Thanks for posting, our charity group is looking for shelving to clean up our area in the local church and this would work perfect and it's very reasonable as well. Thanks.

Like your idea for splitting them in half for ironing/cutting areas.

I checked out this brand and found that it is available at Lowe's and Home Depot in my area. Not on sale now, but the prices are still very good for that quality. Thank you for your posting! Great idea, splitting yours into two useful quilt-related surfaces.

Menards is great!!! I like your creativity - Its amazes me how quilters can come up with their own takes on storage, works spaces etc. without having to use the expensive specialty items!!! Great Job!!!

Thank you for the heads up - but when I tried to pull up their sales ad- I was told they didn't have one in my area "Try another Zip Code."

What is Menards? - Are they like Home Depot?

Good Idea about spliting the shelves.
